Up the Hills above Santiago we went to meet Taita Gabriel.

Taita Gabriel is a tradicional healer from the Inga people.

Taita Gabriel and a few other families share this traditional tambu.

Each family come to take care of the Tambu during a day and a night. Then comes the next family.

This allow the tulpa to be constantly active and the smoke cures the woooden structure of the traditional construction.

The woven palm roofs is traditional from the alto Putumayo, using a leave called 'Wasi Panga'.

In this case, the Tambu also include an inside zinc layer.
