Cooking a traditional inga dish, with the chicken.
While driving from Piamonte to the Caqueta rivers with the students of Universidad de los Andes from Bogota we did a few stops on the way to recollect chickens. As soon as the word spread that theese were the chickens we would have for lunch a few of the students started a commotion declaring themselves vegetarian. Suddenly the fact the meat that would be in the usual chicken broth was alive made that group realise they did not want to consume a dead animal. This incident brought us to reflect on the disconnect we have in cities to the slaughtehouse.
